About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team at Upbeat Recruitment. As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and servicing of fire alarm systems and emergency lighting systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and service fire alarm systems and emergency lighting systems in accordance with British Standards.
  • Conduct regular van stock checks and liaise with the Engineering Technical Supervisor and Procurement Department to ensure that all necessary equipment is available.
  • Report deficiencies or deviations in systems and conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Complete engineer service reports and maintain accurate records of all work carried out.
  • Work in a different environment daily and across various locations, engaging with clients to ensure exceptional customer service excellence.
Requirements
  • A flexible approach to work with a minimum of 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the opportunity to earn significantly more through overtime and participate in an out-of-hours callout rota.
  • A full UK driving license.
  • Previous fire alarm experience and knowledge of analogue addressable and conventional fire alarm systems.
  • FIA training (or equivalent required) to BS5839 Part 1 and Part 6.
  • A good level of IT literacy.
  • An understanding of Health and Safety Regulations within the workplace.

  • A base salary of £40,000 per annum (40 hours a week) and opportunity to earn much more with overtime, travel time, out-of-hours retainer fees.
