Cleaner, Laundry and Autoclave Operator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Cleaner, Laundry and Autoclave Operator to join our team at The Pirbright Institute. As a key member of our Central Services Unit, you will play a vital role in maintaining a clean and safe environment for our scientists and staff.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Clean laboratories, offices, mess rooms, and canteens to the highest standards
  • Operate and maintain autoclaves and laundry facilities
  • Dispose of laboratory waste and launder barrier systems
  • Perform routine cleaning and maintenance tasks
  • Work collaboratively with the Cleaning, Laundry and Autoclave Supervisor and other team members
Requirements:
  • Previous experience in cleaning and maintenance, preferably in an industry-based, hospital, or academic environment
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Good time management and organizational skills
  • Computer literacy and familiarity with Microsoft Outlook and Word
