Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled Commissioning & Automation Engineer to join our team at Additional Resources Ltd. as a Commissioning & Automation Engineer (Automotive). As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for commissioning and troubleshooting bespoke automation systems, including calibrating and setting up data acquisition, electrical, and mechanical components.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Configure and tune automotive control systems (e.g., electrical, mechanical, and software components)
  2. Customise and configure CADET V14 software for specific project requirements
  3. Conduct site-based fault finding, calibration, and maintenance visits
  4. Support customers and engineers with remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
  5. Develop and maintain technical documentation and procedures
  6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery
  7. Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in automation technology

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree in engineering or other electrical qualification
  • Solid electrical knowledge, including the ability to read schematics and troubleshoot issues
  • Basic programming skills, ideally in C# or Visual Basic, with a willingness to enhance your industrial programming expertise
  • Full UK driving license and eligibility to obtain appropriate business insurance
