About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Specialist to join our team at Sussex Partnership NHS Foundation Trust. As a Specialty Doctor, you will play a vital role in providing specialist assessment and treatment to service users, working closely with Consultant Psychiatrists and other multidisciplinary team members.

Main Responsibilities

You will be responsible for assessing new patients, formulating treatment plans, and conducting follow-up reviews. You will also participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, complex case and risk panels, and have the opportunity to join professionals' meetings. Additionally, you will be part of a weekly academic afternoon and have the support of the trust to pursue the CESR route to consultancy.

Person Specification

We are looking for a candidate with at least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training or higher, or equivalent experience, with at least 2 years in a specialty training program in a relevant specialty. You must be fully registered with the GMC and have a license to practice. Excellent knowledge in the specialty is essential, as is the ability to meet duties under the Mental Health Act and Mental Capacity Act. Participation in research or service evaluation is also desirable.
