POSITION OVERVIEW: Financial Analytics TM1 Systems Specialist

In this role, you will report directly to the head of Financial Analytics. The successful candidate will be tasked with managing and refining the TM1 Decision Support models in collaboration with various finance and business units. This position also involves the oversight and development of additional TM1 and financial models across the organization. You will play a key role in implementing, administering, and enhancing robust financial systems that support all business functions while upholding stringent financial control standards.

As a TM1 Financial Systems Specialist, your support will extend to the Finance Department and other business areas. You will have the chance to contribute significantly to business transformation initiatives and technology-driven projects within the organization.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Financial Analytics TM1 Systems Specialist

  • Oversee the support, maintenance, and enhancement of TM1 Decision Support models.
  • Develop and sustain existing TM1 models.
  • Act as the technical liaison for the team, coordinating with Group Technology on issues related to SQL, Server, and Database management.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for issue resolution, ensuring timely updates to stakeholders in accordance with service level agreements.
  • Adhere to best practices in financial controls to mitigate risks associated with the company's financial accounts and data. Ensure compliance with organizational system security and Data Governance policies, and participate in audit reviews as required.
  • Develop and maintain processes requiring expertise in SQL or VBA.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS / EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Financial Analytics TM1 Systems Specialist

  • Proven experience with IBM Cognos TM1 (Rules / Feeders / TIs / Model Design)
  • Familiarity with finance and transformation-related projects
  • Experience with SQL Databases
  • Strong grasp of financial controls and principles of financial/management accounting.
  • Adept at documenting and articulating complex topics in a clear and comprehensible manner.
