Job Description

Quicktemp, a leading driving and logistics recruitment firm, is partnering with a prominent freight and logistics company in Rochester to fill HGV Class 1 Driver positions on a contracted or agency basis. The ideal candidate will have a valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license, CPC qualification, and digital tachograph card.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Drive HGV trucks safely to transport goods to designated locations
  • Follow safety procedures when loading and unloading cargo
  • Inspect vehicles for mechanical issues and safety concerns before and after trips
  • Maintain accurate driving logs and ensure compliance with road regulations
  • Communicate with dispatchers and team members to coordinate deliveries
  • Adhere to delivery schedules and follow routes as planned
Requirements:
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the UK
  • Valid HGV Class 1 (Category C+E) driving license
  • CPC (Certificate of Professional Competence) qualification
  • Digital tachograph card
