Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and ambitious Trainee Management Accountant to join our team at Marks Sattin. As a Trainee Management Accountant, you will have the opportunity to work with a major business within our company, gaining valuable experience and skills in management accounting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Production of management accounts, including journals and analysis of company performance
  • Working closely with internal and external auditors to ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations
  • Collaborating with the wider team to simplify and streamline company procedures
  • Developing and implementing internal controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial data
  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring compliance with accounting standards

Requirements

  • Qualified Accountant (AAT/ACCA) with a strong understanding of management accounting principles
  • Previous experience in management accounting, preferably in a similar role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate clearly to internal and external stakeholders
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, with a willingness to work alone when necessary
  • Self-starter with a proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to learn and develop new skills
