Job Description

Database Engineer with SSIS Expertise

Onyx-Conseil is seeking a highly skilled Database Engineer with expertise in SSIS to join our team. As a Database Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data pipelines to automate and streamline processes required by different departments.

  1. Design and Develop Data Pipelines

Responsible for the development and delivery of pipelines (collect, validate and prepare high-quality data) to automate and streamline processes required by different departments.

Support and Enhance Existing SSIS ETLs

Support existing SSIS ETLs (overnight and intraday), proactively fine-tune and enhance existing codes to increase robustness and error monitoring.

Support Internal IT Department

Support the internal IT department with changes and upgrades to software platforms.

Convert Legacy Reports to SSRS

Convert legacy Hyperion reports to SSRS.

Proficiency in Advanced Programming Languages

Proficiency in advanced 4GL programming languages and able to apply to the full development life-cycle.

Build Data Pipelines and Tabular Models

Build data pipelines within the SQL environment in SSIS packages, introducing new fields and data types for new information to be collated in the CORE environment.

Build Reports and Integrate with Sub-systems

Build reports based on business requirements using SQL SSRS.

Ensure Environment is Running Optimally

Ensure that the environment is running optimally and with high standard housekeeping procedures.

Integrate SharePoint and Forms with Equation System

Integrate the SharePoint environment and Forms with the Equation system to introduce automation of processes, thereby eliminating the need for duplicate entry.

Utilize Web Services to Integrate Cutting-edge Technology

Utilize web services to integrate cutting-edge technology into legacy systems such as Equation.

Provide Out of Office Hours Support

Provide out of office hours support.

Maintain Knowledge of Regulatory Requirements

Maintain knowledge of all applicable regulatory requirements including the Bank's Risk and Compliance policies and procedures and adhere to these to avoid exposing the Bank to undue risk.

Report Policy/Procedure Breaches

Report policy/procedure breaches and areas of potential non-compliance promptly upon identification in accordance with the Bank's Risk and Compliance policies.

Accurately Execute Controls

Accurately execute all controls within own area to minimize risk of policy, procedure, and/or regulatory breaches.

Identify New Risks/Control Gaps

Identify new risks/control gaps within own area and escalate accordingly to your Line Manager and/or Head of Department.

Complete Mandatory Training

Complete all annual mandatory regulatory refresher training as per the Bank's training plans and deadlines.

Proactively Seek Technical and Behavioral Competencies Training

Proactively seek to complete recommended technical and behavioral competencies training required for your role.

MS SQL Stack to a High Level of Proficiency

MS SQL stack (SSIS, SSAS, SSRS) to a high level of proficiency - Essential

C# Programming/JavaScript Programming

C# Programming / JavaScript programming - Desirable
