Electrical Reliability Test Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Reliability Test Engineer to join our team at Morson Talent. This is a long-term contract role, with the potential to extend over several years.

Key Responsibilities:
  1. Manage electrical function, performance, and reliability tests related to Body Electronics systems and CAN architecture/network testing.
  2. Support design departments to ensure the quality of component testing.
  3. Create test plans to meet project and design milestones.
  4. Develop testing procedures and confirm vehicle specifications and test parts, including arrangement of vehicle transportation when needed.
  5. Act as the technical coordinator for overall vehicle testing, where required.
  6. Prioritise and multitask across multiple projects simultaneously.
  7. Provide technical support to the production plant and test house as necessary.
  8. Offer field investigation support for responsible systems.
  9. Manage suppliers to ensure quality.
  10. Ensure testing meets client's standards and complete validation within project milestones.
Requirements:
  1. Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline.
  2. Working knowledge of vehicle electrical architecture and an understanding of electrical theory and electronic devices.
  3. Experience with risk assessment of electrical design and generation of test plans.
  4. Knowledge of network communications and bus principles (CAN, LIN, Ethernet).
  5. Ability to read system circuit diagrams and identify electrical connections.
  6. Experience with digital oscilloscopes, network, and RF measurement equipment.
  7. Relevant experience in automotive electrical and electronic system development, having completed at least two vehicle developments or equivalent experience.
  8. Ability to travel abroad for short trips or long-distance trips on rare occasions and at short notice.
  9. Competency with PC applications, including Microsoft Excel and Project.
  10. Ability to prioritise and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Working Hours and Pay:

Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week. Hourly rate: £27.00.
