The Property Acquisitions, Disposals, and Leases division at NHS Wales Shared Services Partnership is seeking a full-time solicitor, legal executive, or barrister to deliver comprehensive commercial property guidance to various NHS entities.

Key Responsibilities

In this position, you will operate under supervision to furnish commercial property legal counsel and support to NHS organizations across Wales.

Your advisory role will encompass a variety of tasks, including providing legal updates, addressing general inquiries, managing occupational leases, and overseeing substantial development initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess relevant experience in advising on diverse commercial property issues and demonstrate a strong desire to enhance their expertise.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Law Degree & Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice (or equivalent);
  • A qualified lawyer, either as a solicitor admitted to the roll of solicitors of England and Wales, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEx), or a barrister admitted to the bar in England and Wales;
  • Relevant legal knowledge.

Desirable

  • Background in NHS/public sector.

Experience

Essential

  • Experience obtained through a training contract in commercial property law.

Desirable

  • Post-qualification experience in advising on commercial property matters;
  • NHS or public sector experience;
  • Experience in presenting to non-legal personnel;
  • Proficiency in drafting documents and providing advice to clients;
  • Knowledge of property litigation.
