About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Site Operative to join our team at SUEZ. As a Site Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our mobile plant and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate loading shovels, FLT & tele-handlers across the site, loading various types of vehicles.
  • Ensure the safe and efficient operation of fixed machinery, such as bailing machines.
  • Complete daily checks and maintenance of mobile plant, Fixed Plant and equipment used at the facility.
  • Direct customer's vehicles to disposal areas and assist with off-loading as required.
  • Assist Sampling Operatives with collection of output samples.
  • Ensure the site is kept clean and tidy at all times.
  • Assist Production staff with duties during end of shift clean-ups and plant downtime.
  • Contribute to lean and 5's activities to maintain a clean, organised and efficient workplace.
  • Work as part of a team to maintain an efficient and cost-effective operation.

Requirements

  • We are looking for a team player who is willing to train and obtain mobile plant operation qualifications.
  • A flexible approach to work will be advantageous as you will be expected to cover holiday and sick days if required.
  • A safety conscious approach with the desire to develop & embrace change to promote continuous improvement.
  • Previous experience within the waste industry or other high-volume production processes is an advantage, but not a necessity.
