We are seeking an experienced Advanced Pharmacy Technician to join our dynamic team at Worcestershire Acute Hospitals NHS Trust. As a key member of our pharmacy team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe, effective, and timely delivery of pharmaceutical services to our patients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide clinical pharmacy services to a variety of medical/surgical specialties, including assessing patients' own medications, constructing accurate drug histories, and supplying required medications to assigned wards.
- Support the dispensary in the morning with ACT and dispensing medications for discharges, and in the afternoons, support the discharge team as needed.
- Interpret, label, assemble, and issue prescriptions accurately and promptly for inpatients, outpatients, and discharges.
- Counsel patients on their medications to enhance compliance and understanding.
- Supervise and train pharmacy assistants, technicians, and trainee pharmacists.
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a pharmacy technician.
- Experience in dispensing, ward-based services, and aseptic preparation.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage workload and workflow effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
