Senior Wireless Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Wireless Network Engineer to join Alphanumeric Systems on a long-term remote contract basis. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in predictive site surveying using Ekahau and a strong background in wireless solutions across the entire project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform Ekahau predictive wireless site surveys for wireless designs, onsite optimization, and troubleshooting.
  • Use Ekahau to carry out active, passive, and on-site surveys when required.
  • Design and implement complex wireless solutions for various verticals using Cisco and other vendor technologies.
  • Utilize the Ekahau spectrum analyzer to detect and mitigate wireless interferences.
  • Troubleshoot wireless issues and provide support to customers as needed.
  • Adhere to Alphanumeric Systems' wireless standards and guidelines.
  • Have a solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including wired and wireless LAN operations.
  • Have experience with wireless solutions, including access points, controllers, and management software.
  • Have knowledge of Cisco ISE and 802.1X wireless security protocols.
Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills and proficiency in spoken and written English.
  • CCNA/Ekahau certification or equivalent experience working with Cisco wireless solutions.
  • Ability to handle complex problems and work independently.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for site surveys, deployment, and troubleshooting.
  • Experience with Cisco WLC 5500, 9800 series, and other wireless vendors.
