About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Estates Carpenter/Building Technician to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Estates and Facilities Management Directorate, you will play a vital role in ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our facilities, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for our patients, staff, and visitors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine and planned maintenance tasks, including carpentry, joinery, and other building trades work.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to ensure that all maintenance tasks are completed to a high standard and within agreed timescales.
  • Develop and implement safe systems of work to ensure the health and safety of yourself and others.
  • Collaborate with other teams and stakeholders to ensure that maintenance work is coordinated and prioritized effectively.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of maintenance plans and schedules to ensure that our facilities are maintained to the highest standard.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications and experience in carpentry and building trades.
  • Ability to work at heights and in confined spaces.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work to deadlines.
  • Knowledge of health and safety legislation and procedures.
