An exceptional opportunity has emerged for a Site Agent to take on a pivotal role within a prominent organization in the Midlands. The ideal candidate will possess a robust background in Civil Engineering, particularly with experience in FRC & RC projects, bridge construction, and RMD formwork. This position necessitates working within a prestigious Tier 1 setting, with a strong focus on health, safety, environmental standards, and quality assurance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Health, Safety, and Environment:
    • Champion health, safety, environmental, and quality protocols.
    • Achieve safety objectives and maintain a zero-tolerance policy for unsafe practices.
    • Develop and disseminate risk assessments and method statements.
    • Support the Behavioral Safety initiative and hazard reporting mechanisms.
  • Programme and Production:
    • Contribute to project value engineering and feasibility.
    • Collaborate with planners to finalize programmes and methodologies.
    • Oversee and regulate resource needs and production metrics.
    • Conduct programme analyses and spearhead short-term planning efforts.
  • Operational Excellence:
    • Lead and supervise a dedicated team.
    • Procure materials and equipment according to specifications.
    • Manage material waste and allowances effectively.
    • Ensure RAMS, ITPs, and MARs are duly approved prior to commencement of work.
    • Identify requirements for temporary works and ensure safe execution.
    • Meet project quality benchmarks and handover criteria.

Experience/Knowledge:

  • Comprehensive experience in Civil Engineering with substantial technical expertise.
  • Proficiency in reinforced concrete structures.
  • Familiarity with CDM Regulations.
  • Capability to produce RAMS, Task Briefing Sheets, and safe work systems.
  • Understanding of Safety, Quality, and Environmental management systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree/HNC/HND in Civil Engineering or a related field.
  • Membership in the Institution of Civil Engineers is advantageous.
  • IOSH Managing Safely, SMSTS, and CSCS Card are required.
  • Desirable qualifications include HS2 induction, Temporary Works Supervisor/Coordinator, First Aider, and Fire Marshall certifications.
  • A fit-for-work medical (or safety-critical medical) is preferred.
