We are seeking an experienced Private Client Paralegal to join our team at Douglas Scott Legal Recruitment. As a Private Client Paralegal, you will play a key role in assisting our clients with their legal needs, providing exceptional support and guidance throughout the process.
Key Responsibilities- Client File Management: You will be responsible for opening and managing client files, ensuring that all necessary documents and information are up-to-date and accurate.
- Support to Private Client Team: You will provide day-to-day support to our Private Client team, assisting with tasks such as drafting documents, making phone calls, and sending emails.
- Client Communication: You will regularly update clients on the progress of their cases, ensuring that they are informed and aware of any developments.
- Document Preparation: You will take instructions from clients and prepare essential documents, such as wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.
- Liaison with External Agencies: You will liaise with external agencies, such as the Probate Registry, HM Land Registry, and estate agents, to ensure that all necessary steps are taken to progress client cases.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of experience in a Private Client paralegal role is essential.
- Qualifications: For LPC graduates, completion of the Private Client elective is required.
- Skills: Proficiency with Case Management Systems and Laserforms is required. You must be highly organized, flexible, and ambitious, with strong numerical skills and a professional telephone manner.
