About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Specialist Audiologist/Clinical Scientist to join our team at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Audiology Service, you will play a vital role in providing a comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation service for patients with hearing loss, tinnitus, and balance disorders.

Main Responsibilities
  • Deliver a high-quality adult and paediatric audiology service, including diagnostic and hearing aid rehabilitation for adults and children.
  • Conduct behavioural hearing assessments in children of all ages and provide hearing aid fitting and verification.
  • Supervise junior staff and trainees, and communicate effectively with colleagues from other disciplines.
  • Manage hearing loss in adults with complex needs, including hearing aid fitting and verification.
Requirements
  • BSc Audiology, PTP Healthcare Science (Audiology) or MSc in audiology with CAC/HTS, or STP in neurosciences (audiology modality).
  • State registered with HCPC as a Clinical Scientist (audiology modality), with RCCP as an Audiologist or with AHCS as a Healthcare Scientist.
  • Experience working as a Band 5/6 Specialist Audiologist/Clinical Scientist in an NHS context, with evidence of recent CPD activities.
Desirable Qualifications and Experience
  • MSc Audiology.
  • Evidence of further specialist training/qualifications in paediatric audiology.
  • BSL level 1.
  • Research experience.
