We are seeking a highly skilled BESS Optimization Manager to join our Energy Sales team. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious and enthusiastic candidate to join a fast-growing renewable energy business as we head into the next phase of growth.
Key Responsibilities:- Maximize revenue from Innova's pipeline of BESS projects through tendering and contract negotiation.
- Work with internal stakeholders to lead and manage the negotiation and execution of BESS revenue optimization contracts.
- Coordinate and manage interfaces between commercial, finance, engineering, and construction teams for BESS projects.
- Feed into the wider commercial strategy around BESS projects and work with other teams to achieve business objectives.
- Implement a monitoring and benchmarking program for operational assets with the asset management team.
- Represent Innova in industry meetings and conferences as an ambassador for the company.
- Contribute to consultations and influence policy.
- At least 2-3 years of experience in the energy industry in a commercial role with significant exposure to BESS revenue optimization in the UK.
- A track record of negotiating and agreeing complex energy contracts.
- A thorough knowledge of the UK electricity market, particularly the balancing and short-term trading markets.
- Good commercial acumen and the ability to lead and challenge during commercial discussions.
- High attention to detail.
- Self-starting and able to lead and develop a business area.
