About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team at a thriving and aspirational SEND school in Leicester. As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs, providing individualized support and creating a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-to-one support to students with Special Educational Needs
  • Assist teachers in planning and delivering lessons to meet the needs of students with SEN
  • Develop and implement strategies to support students with SEN in achieving their academic and personal goals
  • Collaborate with teachers, other support staff, and parents to ensure a comprehensive support system for students with SEN
  • Monitor and record student progress, identifying areas of strength and weakness

Requirements:

  • NVQ Level 2 Qualification in Education
  • Previous experience working as a learning support assistant
  • Experience working with students with Special Educational Needs
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Patience, compassion, and a commitment to supporting students with SEN
