Electrical Fitter/Installer Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Electrical Fitter/Installer to join our team at Delve Recruitment. As an Electrical Fitter/Installer, you will be responsible for providing electrical assembly, test, and fault-finding capabilities to produce equipment to agreed specifications, on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble, install, test, and maintain electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures - using hand tools and power tools
  • Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes
  • Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system
  • Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes

Requirements:

  • Time served electrical apprenticeship (NVQ level 3)
  • Experience in industrial electrical installation and maintenance
  • Flexibility to travel to global customer sites (few trips per year)
