Position Overview:

Reliability Engineer

Location: Telford

Contract Type: Fixed Term

Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off (7AM-7PM / 7PM-7AM)

Salary: £49,967* pro rata

We are seeking a skilled Reliability Engineer to join our Telford team on a fixed-term basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reliability engineering and will be responsible for supporting the engineering team in achieving planned preventive maintenance and MPS objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain all equipment to the highest standards and optimize performance to meet efficiency targets.
  • Utilize appropriate diagnostic tools, including root cause analysis, to identify faults and develop corrective action plans.
  • Collaborate with operators and shift technicians to establish and implement standard equipment settings through effective trials.
  • Lead initiatives focused on PM compliance and address top loss actions proactively.
  • Ensure equipment is maintained for safe operation.
  • Participate actively in safety-related activities, including near-miss reporting and corrective actions.
  • Optimize expenditures through efficient management of filling lines.
  • Focus on energy efficiency to meet annual targets.
  • Minimize filling waste and identify opportunities for improvement to enhance line and factory efficiency.
  • Achieve PM targets and implement corrective actions as planned.
  • Adhere to Engineering GMP and food safety standards.

Qualifications:

  • Multi-skilled in Electrical and Mechanical disciplines.
  • Strong engineering qualifications and background.
  • BTEC Level 3 (ONC) is essential.
  • Knowledge of filling technology.
  • Experience in complex, fast-moving clean environments (24/7 - short life products).
  • Technical expertise with a proven track record in standardizing processes and practices.
  • Excellent analytical, planning, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and root cause analysis skills.
  • Familiarity with preventative maintenance techniques.
  • Action-oriented with the capability to drive and achieve challenging goals.
  • Effective team player with the ability to work independently.
