**Key Responsibilities**

  • Assist in the coordination and monitoring of procurement activities, including the development and implementation of procurement strategies and plans.
  • Ensure procurement activities are compliant with relevant laws and regulations, including the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, customers, and colleagues.
  • Provide support to officers with purchasing, including the preparation of tender documents and the evaluation of bids.
  • Ensure that procurement activities are conducted in accordance with the organization's policies and procedures.
  • Develop and maintain knowledge of procurement best practices and industry trends.
  • Provide advice and guidance to colleagues on procurement-related matters.

**Requirements**

  • Relevant qualifications, such as a degree in a related field or a professional qualification in procurement.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inform others.
  • Self-motivated and proactive, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexible approach to a fast-changing working environment.
  • Ability to communicate at ease with customers and provide advice in accurate spoken English.
  • Capable of independent travel to carry out the requirements of the post.
