We are seeking a highly skilled Financial Planning Assistant to join our team at Blakemore Recruitment. This role will involve providing administrative support to our financial planning practice, ensuring the smooth operation of our business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and process post-sale administration, including data entry and client file maintenance.
  • Prepare and gather information for complex cases, including CETVs, illustrations, and policy information checklists.
  • Assist with new business and review case administration, including submission of applications to providers.
  • Prepare and maintain client files, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Provide administrative support to paraplanners and other team members as needed.
  • Occasionally assist with basic report writing and client liaison.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a financial planning environment.
  • GCSE English and Math's (C or above).
  • Understanding of the financial planning process, including MIFID and GDPR.
  • Experience with platform providers Prudential, Aegon Arc, OMW, Fidelity, Elevate.
  • Working knowledge of intelligent office or similar back office system.
  • Excellent written and communication skills.
  • Problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Desirable:

  • Exposure to DB Pensions and Pension Transfer administration.
  • Working towards industry-recognized exams, Level 4 (CII or LIBF).
