Environmental Lawyer

This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference to a business and the environment by joining our expanding in-house legal team at Cloister Resourcing.
As an Environmental Lawyer, you will provide focused, accurate, and effective legal advice, analysis, and support to the relevant business function on a range of environmental aspects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deal with a wide range of environmental legal matters, including regulatory compliance and risk management.
- Assist with legal aspects of resource management, including sustainability and environmental impact assessments.
- Support several major strategic programmes, including environmental policy development and implementation.
- Assist with Environmental Information Regulation queries and provide guidance on data protection and confidentiality.
- Manage external legal resources, including consultants and contractors.
Leadership and Team Management:
You will lead a team of two to three people, providing strategic input, setting policy, and recommending improvements to processes and procedures within the business.
As an Environmental Lawyer, you will provide clear and practical advice, enabling others to understand key facts and issues.
Requirements:
- Previous environmental legal experience, including knowledge of statutory and environmental regulations within the UK.
- The ability to interpret complicated legal information in layman's terms and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas of risk and provide solutions.
