Key Responsibilities

This role presents an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Technician to join a high-performing and dedicated Electrical, Mechanical, and Instrumentation (EM&I) team responsible for our sewage treatment operations.

As an Electrical Technician, you will be integral to the EM&I team, executing both scheduled and reactive maintenance tasks, along with minor installation projects at our water recycling facilities. Your responsibilities will include ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment, along with troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving faults. Your expertise and decision-making skills will be crucial as you strive for continuous improvement across the region.

We seek a candidate with a proactive mindset and a flexible work approach, as you will engage with a diverse range of products and equipment. Throughout your tenure, you will have numerous opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, including formal training that may lead to roles in field support and PLC programming.

Requirements

To excel in this position, we are looking for a qualified Electrical Technician with proficiency in three-phase and single-phase power and control systems. Candidates must possess City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3, or equivalent qualifications from a recognized Electrical Apprenticeship. While formal mechanical training is advantageous, it is not mandatory. A strong awareness of health and safety protocols and proficiency in IT is essential.

A valid UK driving license is required, as the role involves travel to various sites within the region.

This position typically follows a Monday to Friday schedule, but participation in an on-call standby rota for evenings and weekends is necessary, which includes an availability payment and potential performance bonuses.
