Job Summary:

The Class 1 Tramper Driver is a key role within the Gregory Group, responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and ensuring the safe and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect and deliver customer products on a curtain-sided trailer, utilizing load security techniques to ensure safe transportation.
  • Deliver loads throughout the UK, including full and groupage loads, utilizing a handheld PDA to complete paperwork.
  • Interact with customers face-to-face and over the phone, providing excellent customer service and managing expectations.
  • Maintain regular contact with the transport team to ensure seamless communication and progress updates.
  • Participate in regular training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge.

Requirements:

  • Hold a valid UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Be in possession of a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience in delivering loads directly to client sites is advantageous.
  • Be passionate about providing exceptional customer service.
  • Work effectively under deadlines and be a team player.
  • Have good geographical knowledge and be flexible in work arrangements.
