About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated KS3 Tutor to join our team of educators. As a KS3 Tutor, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) or those on an Education, Health, and Care Plan (EHCP).

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide one-on-one and small group tutoring sessions for students up to KS3.
  • Support students with SEN and those with EHCPs in their academic progress.
  • Develop and implement tailored learning plans based on each student's unique needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure holistic support for students.
  • Monitor and report on students' progress and adjust teaching strategies as necessary.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student engagement and confidence.
Requirements
  • Experience working with students with SEN and/or EHCPs.
  • Strong knowledge of the KS3 curriculum, whether broad or specialist.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for teaching and supporting students with diverse needs.
  • Ability to adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning styles and needs.
  • Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to undergo a check).
