Job Title: Head of People

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead the People function at Charity Link, driving business growth and success through strategic talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive learning and development strategy, including internal training programs and management of remote-based Regional Trainers.
  • Design and deliver leadership development programs to enhance field management leadership skills and support business growth objectives.
  • Lead the HR team to provide responsive, accurate, and timely support to all managers and staff, ensuring Charity Link meets its social, legal, and regulatory responsibilities.
  • Drive initiatives to foster a positive culture, promote employee well-being, and support diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Collaborate with the operational management team to set objectives, conduct performance reviews, and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on employee relations, including disciplinary, grievance, performance, and absence management.
  • Oversee the Talent Acquisition team to focus on net headcount growth, prioritizing quality over quantity.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in a senior commercial People leadership role, with a strong background in L&D and management of remote-based trainers.
  • Experience leading and motivating diverse teams, with a track record of delivering organizational objectives.
  • Ability to operate with accuracy, deliver on time, and navigate complex, sensitive issues with pace.
  • Sound knowledge of employment legislation and the ability to negotiate and influence at all levels.

This is a hybrid role, with 1-2 days spent in our Head office per week.
