Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant/Client Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional client service, forming trusting relationships with clients, and ensuring their accounting needs are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Service
- Prepare and submit accounts and tax returns for clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies.
- Communicate with clients to ensure their needs are met and provide exceptional service.
- Client Onboarding
- Onboard new clients and integrate them into your portfolio, including bookkeeping and compliance.
- Tax Advisory
- Assess and advise clients on their tax position and optimize their tax efficiency.
- Administrative Tasks
- Maintain electronic filing of books and records, both internally and externally.
- Manage client administration and records.
- Professional Development
- Participate in activities necessary to support the smooth running of the office environment.
- Manage and maintain your professional development and learning, including any relevant CPD required by your professional body.
- Compliance
- Ensure and update HMRC/Companies House statutory information is accurate.
- Networking
- Attend networking events as required.
Requirements
- Experience working in a fast-paced accountancy practice with responsibility for a varied caseload of clients.
- Membership to a professional body.
- Ability to prepare accounts and tax returns for clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies.
- Experience utilizing Xero, Quickbooks, DEXT, and Free Agent.
- Sound understanding and working knowledge of Tax.
- Ability to navigate Microsoft packages, specifically Word and Excel.
- Effective time management and ability to work to tight deadlines.
- Confident communication and advisory skills.
- Fun and outgoing attitude with a desire to support the growth of a thriving business.
