We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accountant/Client Service Manager to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional client service, forming trusting relationships with clients, and ensuring their accounting needs are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Client Service
    • Prepare and submit accounts and tax returns for clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies.
    • Communicate with clients to ensure their needs are met and provide exceptional service.
  • Client Onboarding
    • Onboard new clients and integrate them into your portfolio, including bookkeeping and compliance.
  • Tax Advisory
    • Assess and advise clients on their tax position and optimize their tax efficiency.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Maintain electronic filing of books and records, both internally and externally.
    • Manage client administration and records.
  • Professional Development
    • Participate in activities necessary to support the smooth running of the office environment.
    • Manage and maintain your professional development and learning, including any relevant CPD required by your professional body.
  • Compliance
    • Ensure and update HMRC/Companies House statutory information is accurate.
  • Networking
    • Attend networking events as required.

Requirements

  • Experience working in a fast-paced accountancy practice with responsibility for a varied caseload of clients.
  • Membership to a professional body.
  • Ability to prepare accounts and tax returns for clients, including Sole Traders, Partnerships, and Limited Companies.
  • Experience utilizing Xero, Quickbooks, DEXT, and Free Agent.
  • Sound understanding and working knowledge of Tax.
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft packages, specifically Word and Excel.
  • Effective time management and ability to work to tight deadlines.
  • Confident communication and advisory skills.
  • Fun and outgoing attitude with a desire to support the growth of a thriving business.
