Job Title: Director of Financial Reporting

The Director of Financial Reporting will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting within Manchester Digital. This position will be responsible for delivering high-quality financial information to stakeholders, while maintaining strong financial controls and ensuring compliance with statutory obligations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement financial reporting processes and procedures to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
  • Lead the preparation of financial statements, including the balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement.
  • Collaborate with the Finance Department to ensure the timely completion of financial reconciliations and management information.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to the Finance team on financial reporting matters.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors, tax professionals, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
Requirements:
  • Qualified accountant with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Excellent accounting knowledge of UK GAAP.
  • Strong knowledge of controls best practices and audit standards.
  • Audit background preferred.
