Team Dynamics:
This position is part of the Global Markets Credit ("GMC") team within the Enterprise Credit division. GMC plays a vital role in maintaining robust credit underwriting for trading and lending relationships in Global Markets, covering a variety of products.
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate new business proposals from the front line, offering initial insights on structure, terms, and client selection during the screening phase.
- Collaborate with the front line unit on due diligence, structuring terms, and recommending transactions for second line Risk assessment.
- Prepare credit approval documentation and submit underwriting materials, exercising credit authority and securing necessary Risk approvals.
- Conduct ongoing monitoring of transactions, including industry trends, client performance, and asset evaluations.
- Engage in various credit underwriting activities, including policy development, risk rating assessments, and audit inquiries.
- Support Enterprise Credit initiatives and liaise with stakeholders on emerging topics, assisting with reporting requirements and regulatory inquiries.
Candidate Profile:
- Previous experience in credit risk management, underwriting, structuring, loan origination, or with public rating agencies.
- Familiarity with Private Equity and non-regulated fund sectors in EMEA and APAC.
- Knowledge of traded products, including FX and interest rates, along with experience in lending or debt transactions.
- Understanding of derivative documentation, including ISDA and CSA agreements, and experience in developing related covenants.
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Bloomberg, with a capacity to quickly adapt to new software.
