Job Title: Senior Strategic Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Strategic Procurement Specialist to join our team at Croydon Council. As a key member of our Strategic Procurement and Governance team, you will play a critical role in delivering a strategic procurement service that achieves cashable savings and process efficiencies for the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and deliver procurement solutions that provide cashable savings and process efficiencies for the organization.
  • Provide commercial input into the development of medium to higher risk/complex business cases through the provision of research, data, and overall analysis of market viability.
  • Lead the end-to-end tender process for assigned procurements, ensuring full compliance to standards and practices for tendering.
  • Support the promotion of the compliant use of procurement and purchasing (P2P) processes & systems for the assigned areas.
  • Make recommendations based on early engagement with suppliers, stakeholders, and using lessons learned from other relevant contracts.
