General Manager in Birmingham

We are seeking an experienced and ambitious General Manager to lead our fitness club in Birmingham. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing our team, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

About the Role

This is a hands-on management role that encompasses various aspects of the fitness industry. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • People Management: Lead and inspire a team of Personal Trainers and an Assistant Manager to achieve exceptional results.
  • Brand & Operations Management: Ensure our fitness club meets the required standards and processes, and creates an engaging experience for our members.
  • Product: Develop a deep understanding of our fitness brand and products, and be passionate about promoting them to our members.
  • Commercial: Drive business growth through local fitness testing and events, corporate and community partnerships, and personal training and secondary spend opportunities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A background in management within the fitness industry, preferably as a General Manager, Club Manager, or Fitness Manager.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate your team.
  • A deep understanding of the fitness industry, including its trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to drive business growth and profitability.
