About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Engineer to join our Electrical Engineering team at Optamor. As a Senior Project Engineer, you will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of electrical systems for our cutting-edge automotive projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the technical development and implementation of electrical systems, including Interior Electronics and Switch Packs, for various automotive projects.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Quality, Manufacturing, Purchasing, and Programs, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Own and manage electrical component development, including design, testing, and validation, to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, test plans, and technical reports.
  • Represent the Electrical Engineering team in project engineering reviews and external working groups.
Requirements
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in automotive electrical systems development, with a strong background in Interior Electronics and Switch Packs.
  • Excellent understanding of automotive New Product Development Process, including milestones and deliverables for each phase.
  • Demonstrable experience in electrical component development and manufacture for multiple projects.
  • Working knowledge of CAN, FlexRay, automotive ethernet, LIN networks, and vehicle diagnostics.
  • Working knowledge of relevant homologation standards, ISO26262, and EuroNCAP.
  • Understanding of Functional Safety and Cyber Security requirements for a global market vehicle.
  • Notable experience in using various engineering development tools, such as Polarion and JIRA, and collaborative platforms like Microsoft Office 365.
  • Honor's Degree in Electrical & Electronics or a similar field, with relevant experience in the field.
  • Additional professional qualifications and Project Management experience are desired.
  • Possession of a full driving license is essential.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
