Job Title: Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Apprentice Building/Quantity Surveyor to join our team at Joseph Gallagher Limited. As a key member of our commercial department, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of our projects.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in the preparation of internal commercial reports and valuations for payment.
  • Administer subcontractor/supplier accounts, including the preparation of detailed requisitions and authorisation of payments.
  • Undertake contract administration, including change management and maintenance of associated registers.
  • Identify commercial risks, opportunities, and value engineering.
  • Develop strong knowledge of standard forms of contract and standard methods of measurement.
  • Utilise computer literacy skills in Microsoft Office Applications (Word/Excel/Outlook/Powerpoint).
  • Gain experience within a construction/engineering industry and commercial background.
