Key Responsibilities:- Site Safety Management: Assist the Operations Manager in managing the site's safe System of Work, ensuring compliance with safety rules and regulations.
- Leadership and Team Management: Provide leadership, direction, and management to the Operations team, fostering a culture of teamwork and development.
- Operational Planning and Coordination: Assist the Operations Manager in strategic and day-to-day operational management, supervision, planning, and coordination of departmental activities.
- Process Optimization: Supervise the effective operation of the plant, analyzing process issues and failures to improve plant capacity and availability.
- Contract Management: Prepare and manage contracts for external technical support.
- Incident Reporting and Investigation: Report and investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses without undue delay.
- Operational Improvement: Lead operational improvement activities, analyzing losses and incidents to reduce the likelihood of reoccurrence.
- Project Management: Identify, quote, tender, plan, and manage to completion improvement projects.
- Strategic Planning: Prepare operational strategy to ensure alignment with the overall plan and requirements.
- Contractor Management: Control contractors to ensure they operate in accordance with the Safe System of Work.
- Risk Assessment and Audits: Conduct risk assessments and audits to ensure activities are completed in a safe manner at all times.
- Supply Chain Management: Manage and develop good working relationships with input and output suppliers and contractors linked with the site.
- Leadership Experience: Strong leadership experience, with the ability to manage a team and foster a culture of teamwork and development.
- Commitment: Commitment to continually keeping up to date with execution plans, including schedules and mobilization of personnel and equipment.
- Competency: Ability to demonstrate excellent Health and Safety behaviors, ensuring and enforcing safety expectations are continually implemented and maintained.
