As part of our commitment to enhancing work-life balance, NHS Scotland is transitioning to a reduced full-time working week of 37 hours starting from April 2024, with no impact on remuneration. The QEUH Adult Theatre Suite features state-of-the-art facilities catering to various specialties, including General Surgery, Urology, Renal, Vascular, Orthopaedic Elective, ENT, Gynaecology, Trauma, and Emergencies. Our dedicated Stores and Instrumentation team plays a crucial role in ensuring the effective management of surgical supplies and instrumentation, contributing to the overall quality of service provided to theatre users.
We are seeking a motivated Band 3 Supplies Coordinator to enhance and advance our service operations. This role involves collaborating closely with the Supplies Co-ordinator and Supplies Manager. Candidates should possess experience in supplies management and/or theatre stores, with a strong preference for those familiar with NHS IT systems. The successful candidate will be expected to work collaboratively within a team while also demonstrating the ability to manage their own workload independently. Additionally, the role may require deputizing for the store's co-ordinator during their absence.
Engagement in multi-site operations within NHS Scotland may be necessary to meet service demands. All candidates will undergo pre-employment checks, including PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
