Job Title: A&E General Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate A&E General Nurse to join our team at Wirral University Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust. As a major teaching hospital, we are committed to delivering high-quality patient care and providing a supportive environment for our nursing staff to develop their skills and careers.

The successful candidate will have current full UK NMC registration and NHS experience, or be a newly qualified nurse looking for their first post. We offer a comprehensive preceptorship programme for newly qualified staff, as well as opportunities for professional development and career progression.

The role will involve working on Ward 36, where you will be part of a dynamic and supportive team that prioritizes patient care and well-being. You will be required to demonstrate commitment to excellent patient experience, in line with the Trust Care Values, and work collaboratively with all members of the multidisciplinary team to deliver high-quality care.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Deliver high-quality patient care, prioritizing patient safety and well-being
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to achieve excellent patient outcomes
  • Participate in the Trust's preceptorship programme for newly qualified staff
  • Develop and maintain accurate records, in line with Trust policies and procedures
  • Contribute to the development of teaching strategies and packages, in line with the Trust's education and training goals
Person Specification:
  • Current full UK NMC registration
  • NHS experience, or willingness to work towards degree
  • Relevant clinical knowledge and experience
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Good organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to work under pressure, prioritizing patient care and well-being
