Key Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be instrumental in the development and management of the kitchen brigade. You will:
  • Exhibit strong interpersonal skills and work collaboratively with the Head Chef while also leading the kitchen team.
  • Support the daily operations of the kitchen, ensuring adherence to the service standards, safety protocols, and high expectations set by the Head Chef.
  • Assist in the creation of new menus and dishes, bringing your unique creativity to enhance our offerings and refine classic recipes.
  • Take charge of kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef, ensuring compliance with COSHH and EHO regulations.
  • Be part of a growing team of chefs, with opportunities for advancement to Senior Sous Chef or Head Chef roles within the organization.

Essential Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
  • Strong culinary skills with a keen eye for presentation and detail.
  • A positive demeanor and the ability to maintain composure in high-pressure situations.
  • The capability to step into the Head Chef role when necessary.
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety, EHO, and HACCP standards and procedures.
  • Understanding of stock management and GP percentages.
  • Experience in assisting with scheduling, training, and team management.
  • A solid grasp of the operational aspects of a hospitality venue.
