We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Civil Engineer to join our team in the UK. As a key player in the nuclear business, we are proud to be part of the Consortium SICOS, responsible for the design and detailing of the reinforced concrete structures of the Hinkley Point C (HPC) Nuclear Power Plant.

About the Role
  • Manage and treat site change requests respecting design intent, project specifications, and deadlines.
  • Support the Civil Team of the Nuclear Island in optimizing the design received from the Back office.
  • Respond to civil works contractor's queries related to design packages released by the Back-Office.
  • Assess Field Change Requests (FCR) from the site and their feasibility.
  • Coordinate with the drafting team managing the implementation of design modifications in 3D models and 2D drawings.
  • Review Non-Conformance Report (NCR) from the civil works contractor and assess proposed repair solution or propose additional measures.
  • Provide quick assessment on reinforcement concrete issues (hand calculations).
  • Communicate with the back-office team as appropriate.
Requirements
  • Experience in Civil or Structural Engineering with at least 3 years of proven experience in the field.
  • Proficient experience in reinforced concrete calculation and design.
  • Experience in nuclear or complex industrial projects.
  • Experience in reinforced concrete detailing.
  • An individual who is self-motivated towards improving personal performance and able to generate innovative outcomes to challenges.
