AV Specialist (Events) Job Description

A highly skilled AV Specialist (Events) is required to join our team at DGH Recruitment Limited. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supporting technical requirements for high-profile events.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support and build strong partnerships with stakeholders to translate business objectives into technical strategies.
  • Coordinate and manage technical project meetings with events teams and stakeholders.
  • Identify resources and risks, and communicate technical expectations and goals to stakeholders.
  • Research and coordinate special technology or external technical services for high-profile events.
  • Collaborate with teams involved in events to ensure technical requirements meet schedule, budget, and timeline.
  • Conduct and oversee technical meetings and rehearsals with contractors to ensure quality, pricing, budget, and execution.
  • Work with hotel teams, site managers, vendors, and logistics teams to specify and deliver event site aspects.
  • Provide updates to organizers, technology leaders, and stakeholders on technical deliverables, changes to orders or contracts, and pricing schedules.
  • Escalate, troubleshoot, communicate, and seek resolution to technical challenges or issues before and during events.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years hands-on experience in AV event production, broadcast, post-production, and communications.
  • Expert level on web conferencing, webcasting, and meeting apps on a live production setting.
  • Strong knowledge of photography, video editing tools, video recording, audio routing, and lighting.
  • Experience with AV switching, touch panels, advanced AV troubleshooting & maintenance.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, analytical, creative, able to work under pressure, strong communicator, and impeccable organizational abilities.
  • Strong understanding of audio/video protocols and Crestron and DSP files.
  • Self-motivated and able to work in different settings, in a fast-paced environment.
