Job Description

Job Title: Staffing Coordinator - Autism Together

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Staffing Coordinator to join our team at Autism Together. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating staffing services, ensuring the smooth operation of our residential, supported living, and respite services.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Staffing Coordination: Arrange suitable cover for all staff absences, ensuring the smooth running of our services.
  • Communication: Liaise with Registered and Service Managers to coordinate staff redeployment and minimize the impact of unexpected staff absences.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records on our computerized SIP staffing system, including rotas, relief staff hours, and additional hours.
  • Reporting: Submit reports to the Finance Department and senior members of staff, highlighting any areas of concern.
  • Health and Safety: Ensure that all staff, particularly new Relief Staff, adhere to our Health and Safety Policy.
  • Induction and Training: Arrange and monitor induction for new members of the Relief staff team and ensure that all staff have the correct training before being placed on shift.
  • Supervision: Undertake supervisory responsibility for allocated Relief staff, including appraisals and supervisions.
  • Line Management: Line manage allocated Peripatetic Support Workers and Weekend Peripatetic Support Workers.
  • Rotas: Assist in setting the staff rotas and monitor and manage restrictions in working hours for student visa workers on relief.

Requirements:

  • Highly Motivated: The successful candidate will be highly motivated and organized, with good communication skills and the ability to work and liaise with managers and staff on a daily basis.
  • Flexibility: The role requires flexibility, with hours worked throughout the week and the weekend on a rota basis.
