Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated professional to become a vital member of our esteemed pediatric respiratory team. This role is integral to enhancing our clinical capabilities in respiratory pediatrics.
Role Responsibilities
The successful candidate will:
- Participate in the consultant on-call rota for pediatric respiratory medicine.
- Engage in specialized clinics focusing on conditions such as cystic fibrosis and severe asthma.
- Perform bronchoscopy procedures during both elective and emergency situations.
- Contribute to the sleep diagnostic service and manage inpatient care for respiratory patients.
- Collaborate with other specialty teams to assess and accept referrals.
Qualifications Required
Applicants must possess:
- Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).
- A Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Pediatric Respiratory Medicine or be nearing completion.
- MRCPCH or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in pediatric respiratory medicine, with a minimum of 24 months in a relevant role.
Desirable Attributes
While not mandatory, the following qualifications and experiences are advantageous:
- Advanced academic qualifications.
- Experience in pediatric long-term ventilation and/or sleep medicine.
- Prior experience in a pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
