About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team at Hywel Dda University Health Board. As a key member of our Phlebotomy team, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a clinical setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood samples from patients using venepuncture techniques
- Process and handle blood samples in a safe and efficient manner
- Work collaboratively with healthcare professionals to ensure smooth patient care
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes
Requirements
- Basic numeracy and language skills
- Previous phlebotomy experience
- Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment
- Desirable: Phlebotomy training certificate, Transfusion Pre-sampling certificate, NVQ level 2 or Equivalent
