Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team at Hire Staff. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient care and ensuring the well-being of our residents.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Patient Care: Coordinate, assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individual patient programs of care, focusing on risk assessment and risk management strategies.
  • Team Leadership: Supervise staff, working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver needs-based care and ensure the efficient running of the home.
  • Reporting and Documentation: Report any ill health amongst residents, request GP visits when necessary, and maintain accurate records in accordance with NMC guidelines.
  • Empowerment and Support: Support the empowerment of residents, maintaining their dignity, rights, and advice, while ensuring professional responsibility for individuals in our care.
  • Care Planning: Complete and maintain individual care plans in conjunction with residents, relatives, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Therapeutic Interventions: Participate in the planning, delivery, and evaluation of specific therapeutic interventions.
  • Health Supervision: Assess residents in all aspects of their care needs, providing health supervision and attention through direct nursing care when needed.
  • Resident Support: Assist with social and health care needs of new residents, maintaining ongoing assessment and review of all other patients.
  • Quality Assurance: Carry out regular checks on residents at intervals determined by the Matron, supporting the development of active care, recovery, and rehabilitation processes.
  • Medication Administration: Administer prescribed medicines and document the same in accordance with The Geoghegan Group procedure and Healthcare Commission guidelines.
