About the Opportunity

Jacobs is seeking experienced Quality Engineers to join our Nuclear Power Engineering and Technical Services team, supporting our key client EDF Energy Nuclear Generation with their nuclear fleet in the UK.

This is a key role within our project and engineering portfolio, spread across our UK network at all UK sites and stations. You will be supported and mentored by experienced quality engineering management professionals within Jacobs and given the training and opportunities you need to develop and expand your management and leadership skills with larger and more complex projects.

Your Impact

As a Quality Engineer, you will provide positive leadership on quality matters within portfolios and project delivery teams, promoting the adoption and culture of best practice that delivers positive commitment to quality and engages all employees in continuous improvement.

You will monitor and report on the effectiveness of the quality management system, making recommendations for improvement as appropriate, to ensure project activities comply with relevant procedures and QA requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide quality leadership and guidance to project teams and stakeholders
  • Develop and implement quality management systems and procedures
  • Conduct audits and assessments to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • HNC in a Technical Discipline or equivalent
  • Recognised BE EN ISO9001 Internal Auditor Training completed
  • Certification as IRCA Auditor/Lead Auditor
  • Demonstrated proficiency in auditing and surveillance of client and contractor activities
  • Working knowledge of current versions of IAEA GC-R-3, BS EN ISO14001 & OHSAS 18001
