About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Radiography Specialist to join our team at University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust. As a key member of our radiology department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality clinical reports and performing examinations and imaging in line with governmental and departmental protocols.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Provide accurate and timely clinical reports for plain film services, ensuring high-quality patient care.
  2. Collaborate with medical, nursing, and other staff to deliver efficient and effective services, working within radiology and multidisciplinary teams.
  3. Supervise and manage the operational aspects of the allocated area, assessing and managing workflow to optimize resource utilization.
  4. Evaluate images for quality, initiating remedial actions as necessary, and alerting clinicians to any abnormalities.
  5. Contribute to the development and drafting of changes to plain film protocols, ensuring best practice through evidence-based information.
  6. Participate in the departmental Quality Assurance programme to ensure the efficient operation of technical equipment.
  7. Provide guidance and supervision to less experienced staff, apprentices, and trainees, promoting professional development and growth.
  8. Assist in the implementation of information systems, ensuring accurate data collection and recording.
  9. Attend specialist meetings and contribute to peer review and service redesign planning.
