Join Team Jobs as an Operations Technician, where your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of our operational site. You will be tasked with preparing for maintenance activities and addressing any operational challenges that may arise. Additionally, you will manage safety permits and adhere to established safety protocols.

Compensation: £42-50k plus a shift allowance of £7885.

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent Staff Position

Work Schedule: A balanced shift pattern consisting of 7 days on, followed by 3 days off, then 7 nights, and 18 days off, including an additional 15 shifts throughout the year. Holiday time is integrated into this schedule.

Core Responsibilities:

Safety Management:

  • Consistently prioritize safety and intervene in unsafe practices.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
  • Assist in the investigation of any incidents occurring on-site.

Operational Duties:

  • Conduct maintenance activities and report any equipment malfunctions.
  • Oversee contractors and prepare machinery for maintenance work.
  • Document performance metrics and manage safety permits.
  • Monitor well operations and maintain communication with the production team.

Environmental Stewardship:

  • Recognize and mitigate environmental risks.
  • Address any environmental concerns that may arise.

Emergency Preparedness:

  • Participate in emergency response teams or fire safety drills.
  • Engage in regular emergency preparedness exercises.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of a trade apprenticeship.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical sectors.
  • Technical qualifications such as HNC or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with safety and operational protocols.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Completion of a recognized trade apprenticeship.
  • Experience in the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry.
  • Strong technical foundation with a minimum of HNC or equivalent.
  • Knowledge and expertise in:
    • Safe Isolation and Reinstatement of Plant (SIRP)
    • Permit to Work/Safe System of Work (PTW)
    • Process Safety Management
    • Operational Risk Assessment (ORA)
