Building Fire Systems Engineer

An exciting opportunity has emerged for a skilled Fire Engineer to become part of a renowned, leading multidisciplinary engineering consultancy.
Key Responsibilities of the Fire Engineer
The successful candidate will engage in projects across various sectors including Education, Commercial, Retail, and Healthcare, both domestically and internationally.
Applicants should possess prior experience in fire engineering design within a building services framework, with support available from more experienced Fire Engineers and team members.
The role involves performing precise and comprehensive:
- Fire Engineering Design
- Fire Safety Strategies
- Fire Hazard Assessments
- Fire Risk Evaluations
- Smoke Control Design
- Compliance Reviews with Codes
- Knowledge of fire suppression and alarm systems is advantageous
Familiarity with Technical Handbooks software is preferred.
Qualifications and Skills Required
- Degree in Fire Engineering / BEng or a Related Discipline (mechanical, building services)
- MSc is a plus but not mandatory
- Experience in a multidisciplinary environment or consultancy is essential
- Capability to work autonomously as well as collaboratively
- Strong time management skills
- Commercial awareness
