Position Overview:
As an Underwriting Analyst at Bell & Clements, you will be part of the Managed Underwriting department, reporting directly to the Senior Underwriting Management Analyst. Your role will involve providing analytical support that enhances all underwriting functions within the organization and aids in underwriting decisions. Key responsibilities include analyzing contract performance, assisting in the development of underwriting strategies, and participating in a hybrid working environment.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct analysis for Managed Underwriting, focusing on both the overall portfolio and specific proposals.
- Contribute actively to the formulation of underwriting strategies.
- Generate statistics to support contract renewals and annual underwriting plans.
- Collaborate with IT, various units of MRSI, and external partners on data and analysis initiatives as needed.
- Engage with clients to optimize the performance of their contracts.
Your Qualifications:
Essential:
- Prior professional experience in an analytical capacity.
- Familiarity with insurance statistics.
- Possess an analytical mindset with innovative problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Excel.
Desirable:
- Knowledge of SQL for database querying.
- Experience with Tableau is advantageous.
- Background in underwriting support roles.
- Exposure to the US property insurance sector.
